New York Breakfast
Ingredients
8 slice(s) bread, pumpernickel, thinly sliced (3 1/2 inches square)
1/4 cup(s) cream cheese, whipped
8 ounce(s) fish, smoked salmon, thinly sliced
1/2 onion(s), red, thinly sliced
1/4 cucumber(s), English variety, thinly sliced
2 medium tomato(es), cored, seeded, and diced
2 teaspoon chives, fresh, chopped
salt, to taste
pepper, black, to taste
Preparation
Toast the bread, then spread 1 1/2 teaspoons of cream cheese on top of each
piece. Put a slice of smoked salmon, a couple of slices of onion, a slice or two
of cucumber, and about 1 tablespoon of chopped tomato on top. Sprinkle with the
chives and season with salt and pepper.
